The Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi Awqaf Directorate continues to monitor the progress of the preaching and qualification course for Imams, as part of its efforts aimed at raising the scientific and skill level of Imams and preachers, and enhancing their capabilities in the fields of public speaking, communication, and religious guidance.

The course comes within the qualification programs implemented by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, with the aim of developing the performance of Imams and preachers, and refining their skills to enable them to perform their advocacy mission efficiently, and contributing to strengthening the role of the mosque in serving the community and spreading religious awareness based on moderation and centrism.

The Director of Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi Awqaf, Dr. Sultan Al-Qarala, emphasized during his follow-up on the course proceedings the importance of continuing to implement training and qualification programs that contribute to developing the capabilities of Imams and preachers, and enabling them to possess the necessary scientific and skill tools to perform their mission.

Al-Qarala said that preaching represents an advocacy and educational responsibility that requires the Imam to possess knowledge and the ability to communicate with various segments of society, noting that such courses contribute to enhancing the skills of preachers in preparing and delivering sermons in an influential and conscious manner that takes into account the needs and issues of society, and promotes the values of moderation, tolerance, and belonging.

He pointed out that the directorate is keen to follow up on training programs and evaluate the extent to which they achieve their goals, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Awqaf to develop advocacy work and improve the performance of religious cadres, stressing the importance of investing in qualifying Imams and preachers as they are essential partners in spreading awareness and building a cohesive society based on tolerant Islamic values.

The course includes training modules aimed at enhancing the scientific and practical aspects of the participants, and developing their skills in public speaking, communication, and guidance, which reflects on the level of advocacy performance and enhances the message of the mosque in society.
