Al-Akour pointed to the importance of the preacher preparing the topic of the sermon well, choosing issues that affect people's lives and reality, in addition to the necessity of combining the soundness of religious information with good presentation and style, making the pulpit an effective means of building awareness and enhancing the system of values, ethics, and positive behaviors.
For his part, the Director of Southern Awqaf, Dr. Sultan Al-Quraleh, confirmed that the Preaching and Guidance Forum represents an important space for direct communication with community members and enhancing the presence of the religious message in various issues that concern people, explaining that the Directorate is keen, through these activities, to present a balanced religious discourse based on moderation and centrality, and enhances the values of tolerance, solidarity, and respect for others.
Al-Quraleh said that the Directorate continues to implement its preaching and guidance programs in various areas of the governorate, based on its responsibility to spread the correct religious awareness and enhance Islamic values that contribute to building a cohesive society, stressing the importance of developing the skills of imams, preachers, and speakers and raising their performance to keep pace with the needs and challenges of society.
He added that oratory is not just about conveying religious information, but rather a responsibility and a message that requires the preacher to be aware of the importance and impact of the word, the good choice of topic and style, and the ability to present a speech that touches the reality of people and enhances positive values in them, away from extremism or excess, and in line with the methodology of moderation and centrality.
He explained that the activities of the forum are part of the Directorate's plan to intensify preaching and guidance activities and to reach the religious message to various areas of the governorate, enhancing communication with the local community and opening the field for dialogue and raising issues that contribute to raising the level of religious and intellectual awareness.
