The project, which is set to be implemented over 24 months with a total budget of 400,000 euros, aims to build the capacities of higher education institutions and develop their educational practices by employing AI applications in education, developing digital teaching and digital education methods, and enhancing organized academic cooperation between participating universities and institutions. This contributes to improving the quality of education, establishing sustainable institutional capabilities, and expanding opportunities for engagement in international projects and programs.

University President, Dr. Atef Al-Kharabsheh, affirmed that winning this international project represents a qualitative achievement reflecting the university's growing academic and institutional standing, as well as its ability to compete and participate effectively in international programs and projects. He noted that this victory aligns with the university’s vision to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the higher education sector and to adopt innovation and modern technology, led by artificial intelligence applications.

Al-Kharabsheh stated that the university attaches great importance to developing its institutional and educational capabilities, enhancing the quality of its academic outcomes, and opening up to leading international experiences. He emphasized that participating in such projects provides significant opportunities to exchange expertise and knowledge, develop competencies, and build sustainable academic partnerships, which positively reflects on the university’s educational and research environment and enhances its ability to fulfill its mission of preparing qualified talents for the requirements of the future.

For his part, the Director of the International Relations Department at the university, Professor Hassan Abdullah Al-Daajah, explained that the MED-BALKAN AI EDU project is one of the qualitative projects aimed at capacity building in higher education institutions by developing AI-supported educational practices, enhancing digital transformation, and exchanging institutional and academic expertise among the participating universities.

He indicated that the importance of the project is not limited to developing educational tools and practices, but extends to enhancing the readiness of academic institutions to participate in international cooperation programs and establishing a more sustainable foundation for future partnerships and projects. He emphasized that the International Relations Department continues its efforts to strengthen the university's presence in European and international programs and to provide qualitative opportunities that contribute to developing its capabilities and opening new horizons for its academic and administrative staff.

This victory represents an advanced step in Al-Hussein Bin Talal University's journey toward enhancing its international competitiveness, developing its educational system in line with the requirements of modern higher education, and consolidating its position as an academic institution active in building knowledge and employing technology and innovation to serve education and development.
