The tournament, organized by the Federation, witnessed internal qualifiers held at the participating universities to select the best male and female players to represent their universities in the final competitions, and to determine the winners of the top three places in both the male and female categories.
At the conclusion of the competitions, an award ceremony was held for the winners, where Nakhleh Abu Yaghi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Esports Federation, representing His Highness Prince Omar, presented medals and prizes to the winners.
In the male competition, Rakan Qubaiwi, representing the German Jordanian University, took first place, Ali Al-Dmour from Mutah University came second, while Omar Shehadeh from Princess Sumaya University for Technology came third.
In the female category, Iman Al-Khatib from Al-Hussein Technical University took first place, followed by Manal Al-Majali from Mutah University in second place, while Rawand Abu Hassana from Al-Ahliyya Amman University came in third place.
The tournament falls within the efforts of the Jordan Esports Federation to spread the culture of these sports and enhance their presence in universities by providing competitive platforms that allow students to showcase their abilities, discover talent, and develop their skills, in addition to fostering competition and communication between universities.
The participation of more than 3,000 male and female students from 16 universities reflects the growing interest in esports among Jordanian youth, and the opportunities this sector provides for students, whether in competitions or professional development and specialization in the esports industry.
Through these tournaments and initiatives, the Federation works to expand the base of community and university participation and strengthen partnerships with educational institutions and the private sector, contributing to the development of the esports ecosystem in Jordan and enhancing its presence regionally and internationally.
The Federation is scheduled to continue organizing the tournament and launch its third edition next year, with broader participation and a more advanced competitive experience.
