100 International Organizations: Gaza Ceasefire is 'Ink on Paper'

More than 100 international relief and human rights organizations have described the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as "ink on paper," in light of Israel's continued killing of residents in the Strip and the restrictions imposed on aid and reconstruction supplies, despite a year having passed since it came into effect.

The Spanish organization "Oxfam Intermón" said in a joint statement on Friday that Israel has killed more than 1,400 Palestinians in Gaza during the 365 days since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025.

The statement added that "Israeli forces continue to kill and injure Palestinians daily, while restrictions on aid, equipment, and reconstruction materials prevent families from recovering."

It noted that more than "two million people are in need of shelter, and 1.4 million are facing critical levels of hunger, while no hospital in the Strip is operating at full capacity."

According to the statement, "the organizations emphasized the need not to normalize death and deprivation in Gaza under the guise of a ceasefire agreement."

Citing the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, it pointed out that about 10,000 people remain under the rubble.

Among the organizations that signed the joint statement are: Amnesty International, Oxfam, Islamic Relief, the Norwegian Refugee Council, the Danish Refugee Council, Caritas Internationalis, Greenpeace International, and Medical Aid for Palestinians.
