The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is one of the most prominent international academic rankings, as it evaluates universities based on a set of indicators covering major areas, including the quality of education, the research environment, the quality and impact of scientific research, international openness, the relationship with industrial sectors, and knowledge transfer.

Dr. Nidal Al-Rumhi, President of Zarqa University, said in a press statement that the university's entry into the category (551–600) globally and its achievement of the third position among Jordanian universities represents an important milestone in its journey to enhance its competitiveness and academic and research presence locally and internationally.

He added that this achievement is the result of an integrated institutional work and a clear vision adopted by the university to improve the quality of education and scientific research and enhance its international presence, noting that it reflects the efforts made by the teaching and administrative staff, researchers, and students, alongside the continuous support provided by the university administration to development, quality, and scientific research projects.

Al-Rumhi affirmed that the university is committed to implementing its strategic plans aimed at developing its academic programs, supporting qualitative scientific research, enhancing its impact and scientific citations, expanding international partnerships, and providing an educational and research environment capable of competing according to global standards and practices.

For his part, Dr. Reda Al-Muwadiya, Assistant President of the University for Quality and Development, said that this progress reflects the outcome of the systematic work carried out by the university in the fields of quality and institutional development, monitoring academic and research performance indicators, and aligning executive plans with the standards adopted in global rankings.

This achievement gains significant importance in light of the participation of 2297 universities from 118 countries and regions in the 2027 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, reflecting the broad scope of international competition and highlighting Zarqa University's presence within the global university ranking system.
