Wadi Musa Sons Diwan condemns the attack on citizens in Karak

The Wadi Musa Sons Diwan in Amman condemned the terrorist attack that targeted citizens inside a church in the town of Hamoud in Karak Governorate, which resulted in the death of a number of people and the injury of others.

In a statement today, the Diwan affirmed that this crime contradicts religious, human, and moral values and has nothing to do with the customs and traditions of Jordanians, stressing that targeting places of worship and safe citizens is an assault on the nation's security, stability, and national fabric.

It expressed its solidarity with the people of Karak Governorate, the residents of Hamoud town, and the families of the deceased and injured, affirming that the relationship that brings Jordanians together, Muslims and Christians, is based on unity of blood, destiny, and shared history.

The Diwan called on the competent security and judicial authorities to pursue the perpetrators of the crime and bring them to justice, emphasizing the necessity of protecting places of worship and safeguarding the nation's security and stability.

The statement prayed to God Almighty to bestow His vast mercy upon the deceased, grant the injured a speedy recovery, and protect Jordan, its people, and its leadership from all harm.
