The Southern Military Region thwarted, on Tuesday, an attempt to smuggle electronic control devices via a drone on its front, within its area of responsibility.
Border Guard units were able to detect the drone, deal with it, and shoot it down inside Jordanian territory, and seize its cargo, in coordination with security and military agencies.
The seized items were transferred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal and investigative procedures.
The Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army confirms its continued commitment to confronting smuggling and infiltration operations of all kinds and means, and to utilizing its full operational and intelligence capabilities to deal with them, stressing the readiness of the Border Guard units to confront any threat targeting the security and stability of the Kingdom.
