Khaled Burgan, one of the relatives of the martyrs of the Hamoud Church incident in Karak, said that the broad popular solidarity with the victims' families eased the impact of the tragedy, stressing that Jordan will not allow the incitement of hatred or division among the people of one nation.
Burgan added, on Monday morning, that Jordan witnessed broad solidarity from various spectrums of society and its political and non-political trends, noting that they received calls and messages of solidarity and the arrival of delegations from Palestine to stand with the victims' families.
He emphasized that the incident targeted Jordan, not a specific party, region, or group, stressing that Jordanians will remain united in the face of what he described as a "trend alien to society."
Burgan said that the perpetrators of the incident "chose the wrong address," adding that attempts to incite hatred or divide the people of one nation will not succeed, in light of what unites Jordanians through a shared history and belonging to this country.
He pointed out that Jordanians are ready to stand by the army and security services to eliminate this trend, stressing the importance of speeding up the arrest of those involved, as this would have an impact on easing the impact of the tragedy and achieving justice for the martyrs.
