The military coalition led by Saudi Arabia in support of the internationally recognized government in Yemen announced on Friday the interception and destruction of a drone in the vicinity of the capital, Riyadh, and a ballistic missile in the south of the Kingdom, both launched by the Iran-backed Houthis.
Coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki confirmed in two posts on the X platform the "interception and destruction of a drone in the Riyadh region," adding that "air defenses intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the terrorist Houthi militia towards the southern region."
