The coalition led by Saudi Arabia in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government announced on Friday that it had intercepted and destroyed a drone launched by the Iran-backed Houthis in the Medina region.
Saudi Arabia has previously repeatedly accused the Houthis of targeting Mecca and Medina with ballistic missiles and drones, a claim they have denied.
