The United States will mediate talks between Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi next week

Russia had confirmed in late October its readiness to resume these peace talks, which have been stalled since the beginning of the year.

The last trilateral meeting between Russian, Ukrainian, and American delegations was held in mid-February in Geneva, Switzerland, without reaching a settlement as both sides held onto their respective conditions.

Witkoff wrote on X, "The United States will mediate negotiations between Ukraine and Russia on November 10 and 11 in Abu Dhabi (...) The discussions will focus on post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian efforts, and next steps toward peace."

On the other hand, he said that American negotiators will travel to Brussels this week to meet with "representatives of France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and NATO, to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine."
