The Russian Emergency Ministry announces a "massive cyberattack" targeting its mobile application

The Russian Emergency Ministry reported on Monday that its mobile application, used primarily to alert residents of Ukrainian drone attacks, has been subjected to a "massive cyberattack."

The Ministry stated on Telegram: "The Russian Emergency Ministry’s application has been subjected to a massive cyberattack, which allowed the attackers to disseminate false information to the public. Efforts are currently underway to address the security vulnerability in the application and restore its normal operation."

This announcement comes shortly after the Ukrainian Air Force announced that its official application, used by Ukrainians to receive alerts regarding Russian airstrikes, had been hacked.
