The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, expressed on Sunday her support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who faced harsh criticism from his American counterpart, Donald Trump, also supporting Kyiv's call for a ceasefire in the energy sector with Russia.
In a post on the X platform following a conversation she had with the Ukrainian President, von der Leyen said she supports "fully President Zelenskyy's call for a ceasefire that would protect global food supplies and energy infrastructure in both Ukraine and Russia."
