"The Pope" returns to the Vatican after a surgical operation

Pope Leo XIV left the "Gemelli" University Hospital in Rome today, Saturday, after a four-day stay, following a surgical operation to remove a cancerous adenoma tumor in the lung.

According to Vatican News, the Pope was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday morning, and underwent a 90-minute surgery the same day, during which the lower lobe of the lung was removed using video-assisted thoracic surgery.

Medical examinations and X-ray images showed that the recovery is proceeding regularly, with vital signs remaining within normal rates.
