The Israeli army launched an airstrike, artillery shelling, and carried out an explosion in 6 towns in southern Lebanon on Monday, while one person was injured by the explosion of a suspicious object while collecting scrap metal.
This was reported in separate news items by the Lebanese National News Agency.
In the Tyre district, the agency reported that Israeli artillery shelled the town of Al-Mansouri, without mentioning the results of the shelling.
Additionally, a person was injured by the explosion of a suspicious object at the Deir Kifa junction in the Tyre district while collecting scrap metal in the area, without details on their health condition.
In the Nabatieh district, the agency stated that the Al-Sawwan area on the outskirts of the town of Mifdoun is being subjected to intermittent Israeli artillery shelling.
Israeli forces also carried out a large explosion in two stages in the Al-Ruwais neighborhood of the town of Zoutar El-Charqiyeh, without further details.
This was preceded by an Israeli drone dropping two bombs on a house between the towns of Choukin and Mifdoun, with no casualties reported, according to the Lebanese agency.
An Israeli raid also targeted the outskirts of the town of Al-Qantara in Wadi Al-Salouqi in the Marjeyoun district of Nabatieh Governorate.
These attacks come after technical military meetings between Beirut and Tel Aviv, sponsored by Washington in the US state of Florida, which lasted for two days without achieving announced results regarding the implementation of the "framework formula" and the Israeli withdrawal zones from southern Lebanon.
On June 26, a "framework agreement" was reached between Beirut and Tel Aviv under the auspices of the United States, which stipulates a gradual Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army and the disarmament of armed groups.
The agreement also provides for the adoption of the "pilot areas" principle to implement its terms, but it has only been applied in 3 towns in southern Lebanon: Froun, Srifa, and Zoutar El-Gharbiyeh in the Nabatieh district, while more than 50 towns remain under Israeli occupation.
Despite the agreement, Israel continues its aggression against Lebanon, which has resulted since March 2 in the death of at least 4,386 people and the injury of 12,407 others, in addition to the displacement of more than one million people.
Israel occupies areas in southern Lebanon, some for decades and others since the previous war between 2023 and 2024, while it has penetrated during the recent war to a depth of about 10 kilometers inside Lebanese territory.
