Tesla published a countdown on its website today, Saturday, indicating the launch of the Roadster on October 1st, nearly a decade after the electric car manufacturer first revealed a next-generation version of its sports car.
The Information reported in August that Tesla planned to unveil a redesigned Roadster earlier that month.
Tesla first unveiled the next generation of the Roadster in 2017, announcing that deliveries would begin in 2020, but the program has faced repeated delays.
This comes as the electric car manufacturer began offering rides in its two-seater Cybertruck, which has no steering wheel or pedals, in limited areas of Austin, Texas, last week.
