The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency announced on Thursday the imposition of temporary restrictions on air traffic at Sochi International Airport and a number of local airports in the south of the country for security reasons.
The agency explained in a press statement that the restrictions include regulating aircraft movement at the airport during the period the measures are in effect, with the aim of ensuring the safety of flights and passengers, without specifying the duration of the restrictions.
