"Tafila Technical" organizes a protest sit-in over the "church incident" and emphasizes tolerance

Tafila Technical University organized, today, at the "Jordan Oasis" square on the university campus, a protest sit-in denouncing the unfortunate events witnessed at Hammoud Church in Karak Governorate, and affirming the rejection of all forms of violence and attacks on innocent lives and places of worship.

The sit-in witnessed participation led by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohammed Al-Shalabi, in the presence of members of the academic and administrative staff and a large gathering of students from various colleges, who affirmed their stand as a united front against anything that undermines security and community peace.

Al-Shalabi said that this sit-in embodies the university's stance in rejecting any criminal act targeting safe citizens or violating the sanctity of places of worship, stressing that Jordanian society in all its segments stands as an impenetrable dam against attempts to provoke sedition.

He added that Jordan will remain a living model of tolerance and fraternal coexistence, explaining that such exceptional events will only make the nation's sons more adherent to the values of brotherhood, solidarity, and rallying around the wise Hashemite leadership and national and security institutions to protect the nation's resources.

Participants in the sit-in pointed out the importance of instilling the values of love and moderation among the youth, affirming that national unity and the rule of law are the primary refuge for preserving the blessing of stability and harmony that has characterized Jordanian society throughout history.

The event concluded with the recitation of Al-Fatiha and imploring Almighty God to have mercy on the victims, grant the injured a speedy recovery, protect Jordan and its loyal people, and perpetuate upon it the blessing of security and safety under the wise Hashemite leadership.
