Border guard units, within their area of responsibility, managed to detect the balloons, deal with them, and bring them down inside Jordanian territory, where the narcotics they were carrying were seized, in coordination with security and military agencies, the Anti-Narcotics Department. The seized items were transferred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
The Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army affirm that the repetition of smuggling attempts and the change in their methods will not deter the border guard forces from performing their duties, and that they continue to monitor and follow up on various forms of illegal activities on the border fronts, and deal with them with firmness and capability.
