As the King's and Crown Prince's delegate.. Al-Aisawi offers condolences on the martyrdom of Dr. Mohammad Al-Qassous

As the delegate of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Royal Hashemite Court Chief Youssef Hassan Al-Aisawi offered condolences today, Monday, to the Al-Qassous clan on the martyrdom of Dr. Mohammad Youssef Al-Qassous, one of the victims of the treacherous terrorist act that targeted innocent citizens at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George in the village of Hammoud in Karak Governorate.

During his visit to the mourning house for the martyr—whose body was laid to rest today, Monday, in the Sahab Cemetery in the capital, Amman, following funeral services at the Church of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple in the Sweifieh area—Al-Aisawi conveyed the warmest condolences and sympathies of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to the martyr’s family, relatives, the entire Al-Qassous clan, and all Jordanians.

Al-Aisawi stressed that this grave tragedy did not only afflict the martyr's family, but also pained the hearts of all Jordanians, who are united in grief over the loss of their innocent children and united by feelings of solidarity and brotherhood in the face of adversities and hardships.

Al-Aisawi recalled the good humanitarian biography of the martyr Dr. Al-Qassous, his renowned high morals, dedication to his profession, and keenness to extend a helping hand to the sick and needy, especially less-fortunate families, to the extent that he was known among people as the "doctor of the poor," leaving a positive impression on the souls of those who knew him and benefited from his services.

Al-Aisawi emphasized that this heinous crime will not undermine the unity and cohesion of Jordanians and their values of brotherhood and love, praising the vigilance and gallantry of the security agencies' nashama (brave men) and their efforts that resulted in the arrest of the terrorists involved in committing it, to bring them to justice to receive their fair punishment.

He stressed that Jordan, under its wise Hashemite leadership, its Arab Army, its security agencies, and the unity and awareness of its people, will remain resilient against anyone who attempts to tamper with its security and stability or harm the safety of its citizens.
