Petra: An opportunity for thousands to discover the Rose City

The family of citizen Hussein Obeidat was able to visit Petra, stay there, and discover the archaeological treasures and various natural and aesthetic sites that the Rose City boasts, after the "Jannah.jo" (Our Jordan is a Paradise) program made it possible for them at modest prices suitable for all Jordanians.

Obeidat says: The services provided by "Jannah.jo" to Jordanians, offering them the chance to discover Jordan through tourism, is a valuable opportunity, especially since the service includes transportation and accommodation in various tourist hotels and resorts.

Obeidat adds that he and his family had long thought about visiting Petra and seeing up close the landmarks that have amazed the world, but the distance and costs had delayed this trip, until the "Jannah.jo" program came to fulfill his dream and the dream of many Jordanians to discover the city.

Obeidat calls on Jordanians to participate in this program, because we in Jordan possess a unique urban, archaeological, and tourist heritage that deserves to be visited by everyone. He praised the role of this program, the cooperation of those in charge of it, and its contribution to enabling the citizens to discover Jordan through tourism.

Citizen Abdullah Al-Khawalda agrees with him, as he and his family were able to live what he described as a wonderful tourist experience. He managed to visit Petra, which is considered one of the most important monuments in the world and one of the Seven Wonders, and stay there with modest prices and distinguished services.

Al-Khawalda confirms that this trip made him realize that Jordan is a tourist country par excellence, that it contains landmarks with no equal in the world, and that one of his children has even started thinking about studying tour guiding.

Visitor Jood Qattan considered that this program is an important opportunity for those wishing to engage in domestic tourism and see the archaeological and tourist sites Jordan boasts, while saving them the challenges of transportation, accommodation, and service expenses.

Qattan points out that she has visited more than 15 countries around the world, but her participation in the "Jannah.jo" program, her visit to Petra, and seeing the city's archaeological and heritage landmarks and services made her truly realize that Jordan is a premier tourist country with its assets and services.

Qattan explains that Jordan possesses a unique infrastructure and assets, which motivates more efforts to attract tourism, invest in it, and make it a more important economic sector, calling on all Jordanians to subscribe to the "Jannah.jo" program.

She praised the role of the Ministry of Tourism in creating this program, which provides a near-free service that has contributed to enabling thousands of Jordanians to discover their homeland and live tourist experiences that prove Jordan is a vast archaeological museum, distinguished by nature and terrain suitable for various types of tourism.

Hajah Basma Al-Khatib says: "My trip with Jannah.jo was one of the most beautiful trips of my life. I saw Petra and its towering monuments, we received distinguished services, and we enjoyed a wonderful hotel stay overlooking the mountains of Petra at cheap prices."

Furthermore, the "Jannah.jo" program contributed to supporting tourist establishments operating in the city of Petra, especially after tourism activity there was affected by the repercussions of surrounding political circumstances, which enhanced their resilience and eased their operational burdens.

The President of the Petra Hotels Association, Samih Al-Nawafleh, affirmed the importance of this program, which formed an economic tributary for many hotels and establishments and made the Rose City a more significant destination for domestic tourism.

Al-Nawafleh noted that the program contributed to raising the occupancy rate of establishments operating in the area, especially during periods of stagnation in foreign tourism and its decline as a result of the surrounding political conditions, which affected the flow of incoming tourism to the Kingdom.

Al-Nawafleh praised the cooperation of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities with tourist sectors in the city, calling for the importance of developing this program in a way that enhances its economic impact on the region and its establishments.

Jannah.jo offers various programs to visit the city of Petra starting from 12 dinars for one- and two-star hotels, including services such as transportation, hotel accommodation, meals, guiding, tourist tours, museum visits, and evening entertainment.
