The Department of Palestinian Affairs, service committees, advisory bodies, and civil society institutions in the camps appreciated the contents of the Royal Speech from the Throne by His Majesty King Abdullah II, which carried profound national messages reflecting His Majesty's keenness to strengthen the Jordanian state's progress, consolidate the approach of reform and modernization, preserve the dignity of the citizen, and enhance trust between the leadership and the people.
The Department affirmed, in a statement today, Monday, that His Majesty’s speech embodied the depth of the relationship that brings the Hashemite leadership together with its people, by emphasizing that Jordanians are the object of his trust, his family, and his clan, and that Jordan’s strength lies in the cohesion of its people, their awareness, wisdom, and loyalty to their homeland, stressing that freedom of opinion and expression is a constitutional right, and that responsible disagreement constitutes a source of strength, in the shadow of a state governed by law, justice, and accountability, in which there is no immunity for anyone who misuses their position or office.
