A Palestinian was martyred and 14 others were injured on Wednesday during an attack launched by settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, against olive pickers from the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, on their lands extending between Burqa and the Ramin plain, east of Tulkarm.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated in a press release that citizen Ali Hassan Yusr al-Bazari was martyred as a result of the aggression by occupation forces and colonists on the town of Burqa.

It added that a number of the injured were transported to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm, while others were taken to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, where the death of one of the injured was announced; the injured included a woman.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society stated in a press release that its crews dealt with 5 injuries resulting from the armed settlers' attack on citizens from the town of Burqa in the Ramin plain, including two injuries from live ammunition described as very critical, and 3 injuries resulting from physical assault.

It noted that the occupation forces assaulted ambulance crews and volunteers working in the field in Burqa, indicating that the occupation forces attacked ambulance crews near the Burqa plain while they were attempting to reach the injured and transport them from the Ramin plain, detained 3 paramedics and a volunteer from the town of Burqa, and seized the keys to the ambulances before releasing them and forcing them to leave the site.
