Injuries in Settler and Occupation Army Attacks on Olive Harvesters in the West Bank

9 Palestinians were injured today, Saturday, with wounds and bruises following an attack by extremist Jewish settlers and the Israeli occupation army, who prevented them from harvesting olives in the village of Deir Abu Mash'al, northwest of Ramallah in the central West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated in a press release that its crews treated 9 injuries in the village of Deir Abu Mash'al, including one injury by live ammunition, two by rubber-coated metal bullets, and 6 injuries from physical assault.

A number of Palestinians also suffered from tear gas inhalation during an attack by the Israeli occupation army and settlers on a house in the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah.

The Al-Mughayyir Village Council reported that army forces and settlers besieged a house in the village and fired gas canisters at it, leading to the suffocation of the family members.

With the start of the olive harvest season at the beginning of this October, attacks by the Israeli army and settlers against Palestinian farmers have escalated, along with restrictions imposed on them, including physical assault, denial of access to fields, theft of crops, and the uprooting or destruction of trees.

According to the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, more than 45,000 trees were cut down or damaged in the West Bank during the first half of 2026, including more than 26,000 olive trees.
