Third:- The Chinese President stressed the need to strengthen the foundation of common security through development, considering that achieving lasting peace and stability in the Middle East depends primarily on economic and social development, expressing his country's readiness to work with the countries of the region to protect the security of international shipping lanes, advance development cooperation, promote convergence of interests among the countries of the region, gradually build mutual trust, and eliminate the root causes of conflict.
Fourth:- The proposals called for enhancing international coordination to achieve common security, emphasizing that the United Nations Charter and international law should be the source of basic principles for dealing with Middle East affairs, and urged the international community, especially external powers, to abandon double standards in dealing with the region, respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries of the region, and work to protect regional peace and stability.
The new Chinese initiative is an important step towards achieving security in the region, coming from a major country with significant political and economic weight globally, and it comes at a time when we are in dire need of achieving security and peace in the Middle East, which forms the basis for global peace. On the other hand, the initiative is significant due to its comprehensive and highly important contents, clearly indicating that the Palestinian issue is the core of the conflict in the region, and should be resolved without marginalization or neglect, and rejecting external interventions, with the peoples of the region being the decision-makers in managing their affairs, and primarily relying on social and economic development to achieve security and stability in the region.
There is no doubt that China's presentation of this initiative gives it great importance, especially since Beijing has expressed its readiness to work on supporting the implementation of the initiative's provisions in cooperation with the countries of the region in various political, social, and economic aspects... those countries that have suffered from a lack of security and stability for decades due to the presence of Israel, supported by major countries, and its continuous attacks and violations of international law and international humanitarian law on various fronts.
