"Governance of China under the Leadership of Xi Jinping".. A Reading of the Chinese Experience

The Amman International Book Fair hosted a presentation ceremony for the book "Governance of China under the Leadership of Xi Jinping" (Volume I), organized by the Xinhua News Agency in Amman, in the presence of academics, intellectuals, media professionals, and those interested in Chinese affairs.

The book, published by Xinhua Publishing House, includes 26 long articles previously published by the agency, covering China's journey in state-building, advancing national rejuvenation and development, alongside 41 news photographs of President Xi Jinping.

The Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Amman, Gong Anming, said that the book sheds light on Chinese policies and measures in the areas of improving people's living standards, poverty alleviation, development, and opening-up, in addition to China's vision for international cooperation and global governance.

He pointed out that presenting the book in Jordan represents an opportunity to enhance cultural and human exchange between the two countries and to introduce the Chinese experience in development and governance, noting that it covers topics including Chinese-style modernization, coordination between development and security, digital governance, and improving people's livelihoods.

For his part, the President of the Jordanian-Chinese Friendship Association, Dr. Jamal Al-Dmour, discussed the most prominent ideas presented by the book regarding building a modern state, development, welfare, the rule of law, and combating poverty and corruption, noting the connection of the "Chinese Dream" concept to national rejuvenation and improving citizens' lives.

In turn, Professor of Strategic Studies at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Dr. Hassan Al-Daajah, said that the book provides a reading of the Chinese experience that combines history, the present, and a vision for the future, with a focus on development and human welfare, pointing to China's experience in poverty alleviation and the role of technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, and scientific research in its development journey.

Al-Daajah also addressed the presence of green development, environmental protection, openness, and international cooperation in the Chinese experience, pointing to the Belt and Road Initiative and the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind as among the most prominent frameworks proposed by China in its international relations.
