Mutah University strengthens its academic partnerships in educational development and teacher preparation

Mutah University is moving towards expanding its academic and research partnerships in the field of educational development and teacher preparation, by strengthening cooperation with the "Tamam" team at the American University of Beirut, which opens new horizons for implementing joint programs and projects concerned with developing educational practices and supporting educational research.

This came during a meeting between the Vice President of Mutah University for Scientific Colleges, Dr. Amin Aql, with the "Tamam" team at the American University of Beirut and the "Tamam" assembly committee in Jordan, where they discussed areas of academic and research cooperation, and ways to expand joint work on a number of issues related to educational development, primarily teacher preparation, action research, and the development of educational practices.

Dr. Aql emphasized Mutah University's keenness to complete the necessary procedures to sign a memorandum of understanding with "Tamam," which would enhance the path of institutional cooperation between the two sides and establish a partnership based on the exchange of expertise and knowledge and the development of initiatives and programs related to education and educational research.

He pointed out that the university views academic partnerships as an important tool for developing the education system and improving the quality of educational outcomes, noting the importance of benefiting from specialized expertise and experiences in the fields of teacher preparation and action research, and employing them in developing academic and educational practices.

He indicated that the anticipated cooperation could provide opportunities to develop joint research and educational projects based on modern scientific methodologies, contribute to studying the challenges facing the educational process, and transform research results into practices and solutions applicable in the educational environment, serving teachers, students, and educational institutions.

The meeting also addressed the importance of enhancing the participation of academics and researchers in educational initiatives and programs, and providing wider spaces for exchanging experiences and expertise, which supports building the capabilities of educational staff and promotes a culture of research and development within academic and educational institutions.

The "Tamam" team and the "Tamam" assembly committee in Jordan emphasized the importance of cooperation with Mutah University, given its academic and research presence, and the opportunities the partnership can provide for developing educational initiatives and enhancing joint research work, in addition to expanding the base of academic institutions participating in educational development efforts.

This trend reflects Mutah University's interest in activating its role in serving the community, linking scientific research to priority educational issues, and expanding its relations with specialized academic institutions and entities locally and regionally, which enhances the exchange of knowledge and expertise and supports the development process in the education sector.

It is expected that the anticipated memorandum of understanding will form an institutional framework for cooperation between the university and "Tamam," allowing for the development of joint initiatives and programs in the fields of teacher preparation, action research, and educational development, and opening the way for more research and training projects that could contribute to improving educational practices and enhancing the quality of education.
