Ministry of Public Works: Adding Chinese Language to Signage at Tourist Sites

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing has added the Chinese language to all signage indicating tourist sites, as part of enhancing the readiness of these sites to receive Chinese tourists, and providing them with the necessary information and guidance, which contributes to facilitating their movement and enhancing their experience in the Kingdom.

The Ministry's media spokesperson, Omar Muharamah, said on Wednesday that the decision to add the Chinese language to the signs comes within the framework of building on the outcomes of His Majesty King Abdullah II's recent visit to China, and the resulting agreements and memoranda of understanding, in line with field needs and expectations of an increase in the number of Chinese tourists coming to Jordan.

It is expected that adding the Chinese language to the signage will be a supportive step for efforts aimed at revitalizing Chinese tourism to Jordan, and benefiting from the outcomes of "Jordanian-Chinese" cooperation in areas related to the tourism sector.
