Ma'an: 88 thousand participants in "Our Jordan is a Paradise" boost tourism

Ma'an Governorate attracted 88,244 participants through "Our Jordan is a Paradise" program trips during the period from March 31 to October 24, 2026, including 56,434 participants in single-day trips and 31,810 participants in overnight programs, reflecting the importance of the governorate and its tourist destinations within the program's paths.

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities figures, 125 tourism offices benefited from the program in organizing trips to the governorate, along with 31 accommodation facilities. Additionally, 2,654 tourist guides and buses participated in the program, which enhances the integration of tourism services provided to visitors and supports tourism activity in the region.

According to the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and Director of the "Our Jordan is a Paradise" program, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rifai, the "Our Jordan is a Paradise" program aims to revitalize domestic tourism and encourage citizens to explore the tourism, archaeological, natural, and cultural components that the Kingdom's various governorates are rich in.

Al-Rifai emphasized that the program seeks to provide diverse tourism experiences at subsidized prices suitable for various groups, expand the scope of tourism destinations and paths, promote visits to less-visited areas, highlight local community experiences and their products, and broaden the participation of various social groups in tourism activities.

Al-Rifai said: The importance of the "Our Jordan is a Paradise" program comes from its role in supporting the sustainability of tourism facilities and enhancing their ability to continue operating, especially in light of unstable regional conditions or when foreign tourism declines and the flow of tourists from external markets stops, thereby contributing to mitigating the resulting economic effects and stimulating tourism and commercial activity across the Kingdom's governorates.

Al-Rifai added that the program provides domestic tourism trips at subsidized and affordable prices for citizens, allowing them to explore the tourism, archaeological, and natural components the Kingdom is rich in, in addition to empowering local communities, enhancing awareness of the Jordanian civilizational and cultural heritage, and establishing the culture of domestic tourism as an important tributary for sustainable economic and social development.
