The program aims to boost domestic tourism, encouraging citizens to explore tourist destinations in the Kingdom through offering diverse tourist experiences at subsidized prices suitable for different categories, targeting to reach about 220 thousand beneficiaries by 2026, with a focus on increasing trips to less visited destinations and supporting areas most affected by the lack of visitors due to current regional events, especially Petra.
The program includes expanding the involvement of local projects to exceed 400 projects, including restaurants, hotels, and tourist experiences, in support of the local economy, alongside enhancing the program with more than 60 diverse tourist routes covering different regions of the Kingdom.
The program, in its new form, allows direct booking and participation using private vehicles within subsidized tourist experiences through the program's platform, in addition to expanding the beneficiary base to include Arab and foreign university students studying in Jordan, children of Gazans present in the Kingdom, and children of Jordanian women and their spouses.
The program is implemented in partnership with tourist offices, tourist guides, hotels, camps, the tourist transport sector, and souvenir shops, contributing to the sustainability of the tourism sector's work and enhancing its readiness in light of current regional circumstances, alongside supporting and empowering local communities and enhancing their role in this sector.
The program, which is subsidized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities up to 60% of its trip costs, provides an integrated experience including free transportation with modern buses, accompanying tourist guides, and meals, ensuring a comfortable and organized trip for participants. It also includes organizing monthly events and festivals in all governorates, featuring cultural activities, bazaars, and local products, aiming to boost tourism and economic activity.
