Lebanese Army: 7,700 Israeli violations threaten existing understandings and arrangements

The Lebanese Army announced that the Israeli occupation has escalated its targeting of residential areas and institutions over the past few days, resulting in a large number of martyrs and wounded, the latest of which was at least 12 martyrs, including children and women, in a massacre committed in the town of Kfar Remman in the Nabatieh district.
In a statement today, Wednesday, it said: "The continuation and escalation of these attacks by the Israeli occupation, coinciding with the demolition and bombing operations witnessed in the southern regions, 'leaves no room for doubt regarding its aggressive intentions,'" confirming that these practices contradict international laws, threaten existing understandings and arrangements, and hinder the efforts made by the army to establish stability.
The Lebanese Army affirmed its "full readiness to fulfill its obligations since the signing of the framework agreement, and has begun taking the necessary measures to impose operational control in the model areas in coordination with the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon, according to the plan prepared by the Army Command, noting that there has not been full agreement on the phases of these areas nor the subsequent steps."
It pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces did not abide by the agreement, as the number of violations reached about 7,700 since the signing of the framework agreement on June 26th to date. The Israeli occupation also opened fire in the vicinity of army personnel and patrols.
It stated that these repeated attacks and violations, especially the recent ones, have led to a new wave of displacement from areas that were considered safe, confirming that the goal of the Israeli occupation is to undermine the credibility of the army within Lebanon and before the international community.
The Lebanese Army also emphasized "that stopping the attacks and violations is the essential factor for the army to complete its deployment and carry out its tasks in accordance with the framework agreement."
