Israeli shelling and explosions target areas in southern Lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces continued, on Thursday, to shell towns and areas in southern Lebanon, coinciding with the execution of explosions targeting homes and infrastructure, according to the Lebanese National News Agency.

The agency reported that artillery shelling targeted the valleys of Al-Hujair and Al-Saluki and the outskirts of Eastern Zawtar towards Mifdoun, while the occupation forces launched a raid on the area located between the towns of Zibqin and Shihine.

In the town of Al-Mansouri, south of Tyre, the occupation forces carried out more than 10 violent explosions targeting homes and infrastructure, coinciding with artillery shelling.

The agency indicated that the explosions caused strong tremors felt by the residents of the city of Tyre and the surrounding villages.

It added that the occupation has recently resorted to using new methods to blow up homes and residential neighborhoods without reaching them, by having Israeli drones drop barrels containing high-explosive materials onto the roofs of houses before detonating them.

The agency also reported a massive explosion in the town of Bani Hayyan, in addition to a raid and an explosion in Al-Mansouri.
