Jordanian Hani Al-Dabbas qualifies among the top 10 candidates for the 2026 Middle East Hotelier of the Year award

Hani Al-Dabbas, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Amman, has qualified as one of the top 10 candidates for the 2026 Hotelier of the Year award, as part of the Middle East Hotel Excellence Awards, one of the most prominent professional awards specialized in the hotel and hospitality sector at the regional level.

This qualification comes in recognition of his professional career spanning more than 21 years in the hospitality sector, and his achievements in operational management, institutional performance development, enhancing service quality, and building human competencies, reflecting the presence of Jordanian expertise and its ability to compete in a regional hotel sector witnessing rapid development.

The Middle East Hotel Excellence Awards are considered one of the most prominent regional platforms for honoring excellence in the hospitality industry, entering their 22nd year in the 2026 edition, and including 35 categories covering various hotel specialties. The awards aim to highlight leaders and competencies that have made a tangible impact on operational performance, guest experience, talent development, sustainability, and innovation, according to criteria focusing on professional achievements and realized results.

Al-Dabbas's qualification among the top 10 candidates represents an important milestone in his professional career, during which he progressed through leadership positions within the global InterContinental Hotels & Resorts group, leading up to managing hotel operations at Crowne Plaza Amman, in addition to his contributions to developing the Jordanian tourism sector through his position as Vice Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Tourism Board.

Al-Dabbas emphasized that this qualification goes beyond personal recognition to reflect the competence of Jordanian cadres and their ability to compete regionally, noting that the success of hotel management is no longer measured by financial indicators alone, but by its ability to build qualified work teams, achieve a balance between operational efficiency and guest experience and sustainability, and transform excellence into a continuous institutional culture.

He added that real investment in the hospitality sector begins with people, and that what has been achieved is the fruit of teamwork and a professional culture based on empowering employees, developing leaders, and creating growth opportunities, affirming his pride in representing Jordan and the Crowne Plaza Amman hotel in this regional competition.

The winners are scheduled to be announced during the Middle East Hotel Excellence Awards ceremony for 2026, which will be hosted by Dubai on November 11, with the participation of elite leaders in the hotel and hospitality industry in the region.
