Jordan Football Association nominated for Best Asian Association award for 2026

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced the nomination of the Jordan Football Association for the continent's Best National Association award for 2026 in the Platinum category, alongside the Japan and Saudi Arabia football associations.

The nomination of the Jordanian association came within the list of nominees for the AFC Annual Awards 2026, revealed by the continental body today, in preparation for the 30th annual awards ceremony scheduled to be held in the Thai capital, Bangkok, on November 19.

The Jordanian association is competing for the award with the Japan Football Association and the Saudi Football Association in the Platinum category, which is one of the categories for the continent's Best National Association award among the accolades through which the AFC celebrates the efforts of national associations in developing football.

The AFC Annual Awards ceremony for 2026 is scheduled to feature the distribution of awards across 19 categories, including individual awards for male and female players and coaches, alongside national association awards and recognition dedicated to grassroots football, honoring achievements and efforts made to develop the game at the continental level.

The announcement of the nominations comes as part of preparations for the ceremony hosted by Bangkok for the second time, following its hosting of the edition held in 2017, while the Aksra Theatre King Power will host the upcoming ceremony's events.
