Jordan competes for the Best Asian Football Association award

The Jordan Football Association has entered the competition for the 2026 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) awards, after the continental body announced its nomination in the Platinum category, alongside the associations of Japan and Saudi Arabia.

This nomination is part of the list of awards to be revealed at the 30th annual ceremony scheduled to be held in Bangkok on November 19, where awards will be distributed across 19 categories including players, coaches, and national associations.

The Jordanian association is competing for the award with the Japan Football Association and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation in the Platinum category, which is one of the categories for the Best National Association award on the continent, among the awards through which the AFC celebrates the efforts of national associations in developing football.

The 2026 AFC Awards ceremony is set to feature the distribution of awards across 19 categories, including individual awards for male and female players and coaches, as well as awards for national associations and recognition dedicated to grassroots football, in honor of the achievements and efforts made in developing the game at the continental level.

The announcement of the nominations comes within the framework of preparations for the ceremony, which Bangkok is hosting for the second time after hosting the edition held in 2017, while the "Aksra King Power" theatre will host the events of the upcoming ceremony.
