The Bar Association in Irbid condemned in the strongest terms of denunciation and repudiation the heinous criminal act and sinful assault that targeted yesterday the Hammoud Church in Karak Governorate.
The head of the association's branch in Irbid, lawyer Mohammad Bani Hamad, affirmed that our true Islamic religion categorically rejects what happened yesterday, as do all heavenly religions which reject all forms of violence and criminality.
Bani Hamad stressed that all segments of the Jordanian people will stand as a deterrent to any attempt to undermine the national fabric, rallying behind their victorious Hashemite leadership, so that Jordan remains an impregnable homeland and a sturdy fortress against any attempt to compromise its security and stability. He added, recalling yesterday's high royal stance, that the attack on Jordan and any of its citizens is a direct attack on every genuine and honorable Jordanian.
The branch head prayed for the souls of the righteous martyrs who ascended in this grave calamity, asking the Almighty to bestow His vast mercy upon them, to grant the injured a speedy recovery, and to keep Jordan عزيزاً (dear), secure, and proud.
