Irbid Governorate Awqaf condemns the attack on a church in Karak and affirms: The unity of our national fabric is a red line
The Awqaf directorates in Irbid Governorate (the First, the Second, Al-Koura District, Northern Jordan Valley District, and Ramtha District) expressed their categorical rejection and strong condemnation of the criminal incident based on the attack that targeted a church in the town of Hamoud in Karak Governorate, stressing that the true Islamic religion and all heavenly laws disavow these acts and behaviors that attempt to undermine security, stability, and the solid social fabric.
The Awqaf directorates emphasized, in a unified statement, that homelands are built only with love and preserved only with awareness, and that the religion that teaches mercy cannot be a cover for violence, violation, or terrorizing the secure, pointing out that mosques and churches in Jordan have been and will remain historical witnesses to brotherhood, cooperation, and tolerance, and are not arenas for discord or hatred.
They pointed to the importance of fortifying society with conscious religious discourse, promoting a culture of respecting others, and raising generations on the belief that true citizenship is a shared responsibility and that protecting societal peace is a moral and national duty that falls upon everyone, stressing that everyone stands united behind the Hashemite leadership in protecting Jordan's security and stability.
The Awqaf directorates extended their sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and the people of Karak Governorate, praying to the Almighty to grant the injured a speedy recovery and to keep Jordan safe and secure under the banner of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein.
