A number of traders of 'Hasba Al-Jourah' in the city of Irbid questioned the fate of their pending case following the decision to dissolve the Irbid Chamber of Commerce Council ahead of its supposed date by two months, affirming that their problem, which began since the demolition of the old hasba, has not yet ended, in the absence of an alternative hasba established by the Irbid Municipality so far.
In this context, Mahmoud Al-Jaradat is one of the traders affected by the removal decision and a permanent delegate representing his fellow traders in speaking, following up the file, conveying their demands, and presenting their case to official and civil authorities.
Al-Jaradat explained that a meeting with the traders in the Chamber was supposed to be held by the Chamber Council to review the latest developments regarding the Hasba Al-Jourah issue, pointing out that the dissolved Council had adopted the case since the first day to monitor the efforts made with the concerned parties.
Al-Jaradat added that questions have resurfaced about the hasba file after the dissolution of the Council, which was the entity following up on their case and its developments, wondering about the path that the follow-up will take in the coming period, and affirming that the traders are demanding to end their suffering by establishing the alternative hasba as soon as possible.
In this context, a number of Hasba Al-Jourah traders confirmed what Al-Jaradat said, and in turn questioned the fate of establishing the hasba and the entity that will follow up on their file during the next phase, renewing their demands to end the prolonged suffering and establish the alternative site as soon as possible.
For his part, the Chairman of the Irbid Greater Municipality Committee, Imad Al-Azzam, explained that the Municipality has been working since the Committee took over its duties to address many problems and challenges that were hindering the start of the project, affirming that a sum of one million dinars has been allocated for this purpose, and that the Municipality is proceeding with the establishment of the hasba, except that errors in the plans caused some problems and technical complications that led to this delay.
