The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Al-Hasanat, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the General Iftaa Department, Dr. Zaid Ibrahim Al-Kilani, offered condolences to the victims of the attack that targeted a church in Karak Governorate, and also visited the injured in the hospital to check on their health conditions.
Al-Hasanat affirmed that targeting innocent people and places of worship is a rejected criminal act that has no connection to religion, morals, or humanity, stressing that the sanctity of blood, lives, and places of worship is protected and must not be violated under any pretext.
He stated that Jordanian blood is one, emphasizing that Jordanians, both Muslims and Christians, stand united in the face of violence, extremism, and terrorism, and that these incidents will not undermine the unity of Jordanian society, its cohesion, and the brotherhood of its people.
He prayed to God Almighty to shower the victims with His vast mercy, grant their families patience and solace, grant the injured a speedy recovery, and protect Jordan and its people from all harm.
