Al-Junaid Municipality in the Sakra district of Ajloun Governorate organized a solidarity stand on Monday in front of its building, with the participation of official and community figures, representatives of local community institutions, and municipal staff, in solidarity with the people of Karak Governorate and the families of the victims of the terrorist attack that the governorate witnessed.
The head of the municipal committee, Kathib Al-Ghazawi, said that the stand expresses the solidarity of the region's residents with the people of Karak and the families of the victims and the injured, stressing that targeting citizens and places of worship is a crime that contradicts religious and human values and calls for a unified stance in rejecting terrorism and extremism.
Al-Ghazawi praised the efforts of the security services in dealing with the incident and pursuing those involved, expressing his confidence in their ability to protect citizens and maintain the Kingdom's security and stability, and the importance of rallying around the Hashemite leadership and supporting state institutions.
He added that the municipality will dispatch a delegation from the Al-Junaid region this afternoon to Karak Governorate to offer condolences to the families of the victims in the town of Hammoud, as an expression of the region's residents' solidarity with their families.
For their part, speakers during the stand emphasized that targeting places of worship affects the religious and human values shared by Jordanians, stressing the importance of preserving Islamic-Christian coexistence and not allowing such attacks to be exploited to incite hatred and division.
They pointed to the necessity of supporting the security services and competent authorities in their efforts to protect citizens, confirming that maintaining the unity and cohesion of society is a shared responsibility that requires rejecting all forms of violence and extremism.
