External Patrols: Two Vehicles Exceeding 200 km/h Seized

The External Patrols Department seized two vehicles on the Zarqa - Azraq road during the past 24 hours, one exceeding 200 km/h and the other 203 km/h, despite the speed limit being 100 km/h.

Captain Ahmed Al-Shatti, an external patrols operations officer, said on Monday that external roads are witnessing active and smooth traffic, with few obstacles.

The Irbid - Amman road is seeing strong traffic from the capital towards the northern governorates and moderate in the opposite direction, while the Development Corridor road is seeing strong traffic in both directions.

On the Desert Highway, traffic was moderate towards Aqaba from Ras Al-Naqb area and weak but sometimes active in the opposite direction, while Zamila area is seeing moderate traffic in both directions.

During the same period, external patrols dealt with a collision between three vehicles under the Ghabawi Bridge on the Mafraq - Amman road, where the vehicles and obstacles were removed and the road was opened to traffic.

Al-Shatti called on users of external roads to adhere to the prescribed speeds and designated lanes, and to avoid distractions, especially mobile phones, noting that patrols will continue to provide assistance to road users, which can be requested via the number 911.
