But has this profitability been reflected in stock prices?

There is a stimulus policy that undoubtedly led to improved performance, including growth of 2.9 percent for the first half of 2026, an increase in national exports by 6.2 percent, remittances from workers during the first seven months of the year by 14.1 percent, and an increase in foreign reserves at the Central Bank to more than 28.5 billion dollars.

Profitable companies will determine the dividend distribution rates for shareholders, which are cash dividends (liquidity) that will achieve more than one goal at once.

The first of these goals is to provide the market with the liquidity it needs through small shareholders, and to enhance investment and expansion in the stock market through major shareholders.

Cash dividends are a tool for evaluating stock performance; they offer the shareholder a partial return on their investment and provide compensation to overcome the weakness in purchasing power in light of inflation.

Moreover, the cash dividend yield is significantly higher than market interest rates; it contributes to improving the stock price and enhances its attractiveness to investors. For this reason and more, cash dividends for companies should be encouraged more than supporting their plans to distribute free shares.
