Al-Wathaifi pointed out that the upward trajectory witnessed by the Amman Stock Exchange, continuing the positive performance of market indicators throughout 2025, reflects the robustness of economic performance and the national economy's ability to adapt to various challenges. He noted that in light of this outstanding performance in 2025, the exchange was awarded the annual Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE) award for the best Arab stock exchange in terms of price index growth, in recognition of the positive results achieved during the year. It also ranked thirteenth globally according to Bloomberg data on financial market performance, strengthening its regional and international position. The market capitalization of listed companies increased by 9.1% to reach 28.9 billion dinars, reflecting a noticeable improvement in market activity and the return of investor confidence. These results are supported by increased confidence in the national economy, given its resilience and ability to adapt and face difficult regional and international conditions, achieve positive indicators, implement the Economic Modernization Vision projects, and work on implementing major projects amid stimulating and precautionary policies supporting economic activity and the national capital market under these circumstances. A growth rate of 2.9% was achieved for the first half of 2026, in addition to a 6.2% increase in national exports during the first half of the year. Remittances from workers also increased by 14.1% during the first seven months of the year, alongside the containment of inflation rates at moderate levels and the increase of foreign reserves at the Central Bank to more than 28.5 billion dollars, which led to improved performance across all sectors, thereby enhancing investor confidence and the attractiveness of the national economy and the stock exchange for investment.
