Connecting the North to the South.. 7 buses launched to transport students between Irbid and the universities of "Mutah" and "Yarmouk"

The Director of the Governorates Authorities Directorate at the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, Engineer Rola Al-Omari, announced the launch of a new public transport service using (7) medium-sized buses under temporary permits, to operate on a route directly connecting the governorates of Irbid and Karak, reaching Mutah University.

Engineer Al-Omari emphasized that this step stems from a continuous commitment to improving and enhancing the public transport network, expanding its scope, and increasing its connectivity between the various regions of the Kingdom, in addition to easing the burden on citizens and students and sparing them the hardship of using multiple modes of transport to reach their destinations.

Al-Omari explained that the new line will directly connect the northern governorates with the southern governorates, noting that it primarily aims to serve our children and students from Irbid Governorate heading to Mutah University in Karak, as well as serving passengers and students from Karak Governorate studying at Yarmouk University in Irbid Governorate.

Engineer Al-Omari expects this line to witness active transport movement and notable demand during the coming period, stressing the importance of the authorized vehicles adhering to schedules and routes, which contributes to restoring passenger confidence in the system and encourages the use of public transport as a safe and regular alternative to private transport.
