Conclusion of the second phase of the "Women in Innovation" project in Tafilah

The Araqat Tafilah Charitable Society and the Multiple Sclerosis Charitable Society concluded the second phase of the "HEYA – Women in Innovation: From Home-Based Projects to Scalable Businesses" project, funded by the European Union and implemented during the 2025–2027 period, aiming to economically empower Jordanian and Syrian women, develop their home-based projects, and transform them into sustainable businesses capable of growth and expansion.

According to a statement by the Araqat Tafilah Charitable Society today, Monday, the project aims to promote women's entrepreneurship and open new horizons for women to develop their innovative ideas and improve their income sources through specialized training programs that combine entrepreneurial skills with technical aspects, providing practical tools to help them build more sustainable projects capable of reaching markets.

The society indicated that the training was carried out in cooperation with the Multiple Sclerosis Charitable Society within the framework of a partnership aimed at expanding the scope of benefit from training programs and strengthening the role of local community institutions in supporting women's initiatives and economic empowerment.

The head of the society, Fatima Abu Mahfouz, said that the project phases include advanced programs in entrepreneurship, technical training, selection of entrepreneurial projects, management of startup grants, and enhancing market access opportunities, in addition to building the capacities of civil society organizations and business support entities and connecting them with women entrepreneurs.

She added that the programs contribute to developing women's skills and enhancing their ability to turn their ideas into productive projects, allowing them broader opportunities for economic participation and improving their income levels.

It is expected that the project will contribute to strengthening the institutional capacities of the participating societies, developing the innovation and women's entrepreneurship ecosystem, and supporting sustainable local economic development by providing a supportive environment that helps women develop their projects and achieve better opportunities for growth and continuity.
