BRICS nations, including Russia, China, India, Iran, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, called for "maximum restraint" in the Middle East war in a joint statement on the sidelines of their summit in New Delhi on Saturday.
According to AFP, the statement read: "We express grave concern over the continuous escalation of tensions in the Middle East / West Asia. While recalling our respective national positions, we call for the exercise of maximum restraint, as well as avoiding actions that would exacerbate the situation."
