Armenian Catholic Patriarch: Confronting terrorism through solidarity between Christians and Muslims

The Armenian Catholic Patriarch, Raphaël Bedros XXI Minassian, condemned the terrorist attack that targeted Saint George's Church in Karak Governorate, which resulted in casualties and injuries.

In a statement issued by the Patriarchate's media office, Minassian said that the attack on places of worship represents an assault on the sanctity of human life, freedom of faith, and spiritual and civilizational values, stressing that shedding the blood of innocents in the name of any ideology or creed is a crime against humanity that no religion justifies and no law accepts.

He emphasized that confronting terrorism requires greater unity and solidarity between Christians and Muslims, protecting human dignity, safeguarding freedom of belief, and rejecting ideas that turn religious differences into a pretext for hatred and killing, noting that Christians in the East are authentic partners in the history and civilization of this region.
