The Anglican Archbishop of Jerusalem, Archbishop Hosam Naoum, condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint George in the town of Hammoud, Karak Governorate.
Archbishop Naoum stated that the attack constitutes a violation of the sanctity of worship, the sanctity of human life, and human dignity bestowed by God upon every human being, emphasizing that targeting peaceful worshippers represents an assault on society's security and unity, as well as on the values of love, brotherhood, and coexistence that characterize Jordan.
He affirmed that this crime will not undermine the unity of Jordanians or the cohesion of their national fabric, nor will it allow room for fear or division among the citizens of the same homeland, pointing out that Christians and Muslims in Jordan are partners in the land, history, and citizenship, bound by ties of brotherhood and mutual respect.
