Arab Businessmen Union condemns the terrorist attack on the Karak church

The Arab Businessmen Union and its representatives in the Arab world expressed their deep condemnation and denunciation of the incident that targeted the Greek Orthodox Church in the Hamoud area of Karak Governorate, affirming their absolute rejection of any attack that violates the sanctity of places of worship or threatens the security of citizens and their right to practice their religious rites freely and safely.

In a statement today, Monday, the Union affirmed that this incident represents an unacceptable act that contradicts the religious and humanitarian values and the established national principles upon which Jordanian society is based, foremost among them tolerance, brotherhood, and mutual respect, stressing that harming churches, mosques, or any place of worship is an affront to the values of Jordanian society and its inclusive national identity.

It emphasized that Jordan has always provided a solid model of Islamic-Christian coexistence, where Muslims and Christians form a single national fabric, united by citizenship, belonging, and a common destiny, working together for the advancement and progress of the nation.

It also affirmed that national unity will remain a red line, and that the cohesion of Jordanian society constitutes a fundamental pillar for the Kingdom's security, stability, and its developmental and economic path.

In this context, the Union's Chairman, Hamdi Al-Tabbaa, affirmed that the attack on places of worship is not a matter concerning one group over another, but an issue that affects the entire Jordanian society, indicating that the unity and cohesion of Jordanians will remain the impregnable fortress in the face of everything that threatens the nation's security and stability.

The Union pointed out that security, stability, and social cohesion constitute fundamental elements for enhancing confidence, affirming that Jordan will remain a model of moderation, tolerance, and coexistence, thanks to the awareness of its people and their adherence to their national constants.
